THERE ARE NO COOKIES ON MY DESK
On my office's electronic bulletin board, someone put up the following tidbit:
"THERE ARE COOKIES ON MY DESK"
Um, duly noted? Is it an open invitation to enjoy some of these cookies? Is it a taunt to those of us who do not have cookies on our desks? Is it an accusation? Did the cookies show up un-wanted and un-bidden? I don't know. That is the entire text of the post. I guess I could find out by going to said, cookie-filled desk and ask. Rather, though, I kind of want to put up a post of my own saying only:
"THERE ARE NO COOKIES ON MY DESK"
Sadly, I don't know that the joke would go over well.
