86'd

As I was researching culinary schools, I came across a new term - "86'd". As in, a menu item is "86'd" when it is no longer available. If you run out of chicken one night, then the roast chicken has been 86'd. Or is 86'd. I'm not too sure how the tenses work out. Or if it's meant to be spelled out like "eighty-sixed".

But I digress.

I bring this up because my plans for culinary school have been effectively "86'd" for lack of funds. So, it's back to Plan B, the lottery.
